In the afternoon of the 3rd July 2023, Colas Class 43, No. 43251, passes Appleby station working the 10.06 Network Rail Measurement Train from Darlington Up Yard to York, via lines in the North East, the Tyne Valley to Carlisle, then the S&C to Leeds and York.
Classmate No. 43272 is at the rear of this train.
