LNER Thompson B1 Class 4-6-0 No. 61306 'Mayflower' approaches Botley with the Fratton Yard to Portsmouth Harbour ECS and turning move bound for Eastleigh following a reversal at Havant. Some 25 minutes after this image was shot the ECS working passed through Botley in the opposite direction following a reversal at Eastleigh hauled by Class 47/4 No. 47614 which is on the rear of the train in this scene.
