On a very unseasonal summers day in July in Dorset countryside SR Merchant Navy Class Pacific No. 35028 'Clan Line' heads across Lenthay Common west of Sherborne in pouring rain at the head of the first leg of the Railway Touring Company annual End of Southern Steam tour comemmorating the end of Southern Steam in July 1967 from London Victoria to Yeovil Junction on 9th July 2024. After arrival at Yeovil the tour will head to Weymouth then back to London Waterloo. WCR Class 47/4 No. 47812 is on the rear of the train to work the Yeovil to Weymouth leg of the tour.
