A pair LSL Class 47 locomotives having crested the first part of Parkstone Bank pass through Parkstone station with No. D1935 (47805) Roger Hosking MA 1925-2013 piloting classmate No. 47593 Galloway Princess the pair are working the Statesman Rail Dorset Coast Statesman returning to Nantwich from Weymouth on 24th August 2024. The 1 in 60 gradient up from Poole levels off slightly through the station before increasing back to 1 in 60 and from the evidence of exhaust clag both locos are putting on the power to attack the rest of the climb of the bank.
