GWR Castle Class 4-6-0 No. 7029 Clun Castle made a visit north to haul a charter over the S&C during April 2023. The loco headed north on 21st April 2023, when it was noted passing Balshaw Lane while en route from Tyseley to Carnforth thence to Hellifield for overnight stabling.
