Simultaneous arrivals at Cardiff Central on 27th April 2023 as GWR Class 800 No. 800015 arrives on platform 3 with the 09.20 service from London Paddington and GWR HST with Class 43 No. 43042 Treganna Castle and 43029 Caldicot Castle providing power arrives on platform 2 with the 05.40 service from Penzance. GWR has announced it will be withdrawing all of its Castle class HSTs by the end of 2023.
