On 8th October 2024 Freightliner Class 66/6 No. 66605 approaches Carlisle with the 10.52 New Biggin - Tees Yard empty gypsum wagons. This was the first day of operation by Freightliner having taken over the contract from DB. Using a rake of JNA box wagons formerly leased by GBRf and still wearing GBRf branding Freightliner operate the working via the Tyne Valley and reversal at Carlisle Yard, rather than via Skipton, The Aire Valley and York.
