The rural location of Broughton Gifford provides the setting for ‘Genesee and Wyoming' branded Class 59/2 No. 59202 ‘Pride of Ferrybridge' which is photographed hauling the diverted 09:59 Whatley quarry-Churchyard sidings aggregate service on a cold 27th February 2023. This is one of a number of diverted workings which took taking place during the past two weeks in connection with engineering work being undertaken between Newbury and Bedwyn.
