GBRf Class 66/7 No. 66793 eases away from the goods loop at Hellifield on 18th January 2023 with the inaugural 07.50 Rylstone Quarry - Leyland Enterprise Sidings, south of Preston, where GBRf has a newly opened facility. The working conveys stone in JHA box wagons. The journey by road is around 45 miles but by rail involves a complex routing from Rylstone to Blea Moor to run round, south to Hellifield to take the Ribble Valley/East Lancashire lines to Farrington Junction to join the WCML, then south to Wigan Springs Branch to run round again, then back north to Leyland to access the sidings from the south, a journey time of around nine hours!.
