On 9th October 2022, at West Shed Butterley, and with echoes of the dark days of the 1960s/70s, the faulty driving wheels previously cast for new-build LMS Patriot No. 5551, ‘The Unknown Warrior' are being cut up for scrap. A completely new set of wheels for the loco have now been cast.
