Northern Class 150/1 DMUs Nos. 150113 and 150150 arrive at Broadbottom as they work the 11:12 Guide Bridge to Hadfield service on 3rd September 2022. A burst water main on an overbridge between Guide Bridge and Fairfield led to the closure of the line between Ashburys and Guide Bridge for several days at the beginning of September. TransPennine Express services between Stalybridge and Manchester Piccadilly were diverted via/to Manchester Victoria, while Northern's services to Rose Hill Marple ran direct between Ashburys and Romiley. Meanwhile, services on the Glossop/Hadfield line ran to/from Guide Bridge with a bus replacement from there to Manchester. Buses also ran from Guide Bridge to Romiley to serve Hyde and Woodley. Whilst the service didn't always run to plan Northern are to be applauded for at least keeping some trains running rather than using buses throughout.
