Trenitalia class E.464 No. 464.234 heads away from Taormina in Sicily on 9th August 2022, with the 10.10 Siracusa - Roma Termini service which will use the train ferry from Messina to the Italian mainland at Villa San Giovanni before continuing north to Rome. The 700 and strong E.464 fleet has now taken over Inter City services in Sicily from class E.656 locomotives.
