Trenitalia class E.464 No. 464.281 departs from Messina Centrale in Sicily on 8th August 2022, with the previous day's 19.05 Milano Centrale - Palermo Centrale overnight service. The train has just come off the train ferry from Villa San Giovanni on the Italian mainland and will take a further three hours to reach its destination in western Sicily, a total journey time from Milan of around 23 hours.
