On the morning of the 8th August 2022, the Network Rail Measurement Train with Class 43 No. 43290 leading and classmate No. 43299 at the rear heads south from Darlington working which originated in Darlington Up Sidings, then travelled north to Heaton, Newcastle, before passing Darlington again and heading south to London King's Cross.
