In this view at Tees Yard, Thornaby on 9th July 2022, Freightliner Class 70 No. 70016, and a Freightliner Class 66/9 No. 66955, have just arrived on the 'Lackenby Looper' rail charter promoted by the Branch Line Society. The train had left Doncaster, the start of the rail tour, 67 minutes late and arrived in Tees Yard 56 minutes late. The two Freightliner locos came off the train at Tees Yard and immediately left for the Freightliner Depot in Hunslet, Leeds.
The rail charter would continue from Tees Yard to Hartlepool Pipe Mill hauled by DB Cargo motive power in the form of Class 66/0 No. 66010, which came up on the back of the train from Doncaster and is just visible in this photograph, while the two Freightliner locos were replaced by DB Cargo Class 60 No. 60092.
