Having departed Rock Ferry station three minutes earlier, 'Merseyrail' Class 508 No. 508140 descends into Green Lane with an out and back working from Chester via Liverpool Central on 1st June 2022. This station is unusual as substantial iron girders span both platforms with the 'Down' Chester line covered by brick arches and the 'Up' Chester line open to the elements permitting changing levels of light.
