On the 22nd January 2022 the Locomotive services Limited Midland Pullman, Class 43 HST set with No. 43055 leading and classmate No. 43046 'Geoff Drury 1930-1999 Steam Preservation and Computerised Track Recording Pioneer'at the rear of this train, passes Waitby just to the north of Kirkby Stephen, working The Settle and Carlisle Pullman, from Eastleigh to Carlisle, via the S&C promoted by Midland Pullman.
