Yorkshire), working the 10:18 Scunthorpe Trent Yard to Eastleigh East Yard Departmental service comprising JZA Bogie Long Welded Rail Carriers on 13th July 2021. Subsequently, when passing Tupton No. 66787 was struggling and was declared a failure.
Freightliner Class 66/4 No. 66418, working the 10:20 Leeds F.L.T. to Lawley Street F.L.T. Route Learner Training Light-engine Service, was in the area and used to push the train on to the Up and Down Blackwell Slow line. Once was clear of the main line No. 66418 was removed to continue with its Route Learner Training run.
Finally, GBRf Class 66/7 No. 66706 'Nene Valley' was sourced from Doncaster to work the Light-engine service to the Blackwell Slow Line, where it assisted and hauled through to Eastleigh.
