"Northern Trains Class 144 'Pacer' No. 144012 featuring '144 evolution - By Porterbrook' livery departs Doncaster, working the 09:19 Scunthorpe to Lincoln Central service on 23rd March 2018.
No. 144012 was used by Porterbrook as the demonstrator unit featuring upgrades to comply with modern accessibility standards, focussing on the passenger interior, including new seats, internal trim and a toilet module that makes the vehicle PRM-TSI compliant. It also has Wi-Fi, a vastly improved Passenger Information System (PIS) and a TV screen that shows either adverts of passenger information. An in-built ramp has also been fitted to assist with wheelchair access.
