Scotrail Class 156 No. 156485 approaches the 142 years old, 31 lever frame, Haydon Bridge East Signalbox, working the 08:47 Carlisle to Morpeth service on 12th October 2019 and passes LNER Class 43/2 HST No. 43319, working the rear of the 07:08 Leeds to Edinburgh service which had been diverted along the Tyne Valley between Newcastle Central and Carlisle, as the ECML was again closed between Newcastle & Edinburgh that day.
