In this view on 23rd December 2019, a Northen Class 156 No. 156451, is seen departing from Shildon station on: the 15.26 Arriva Rail North / Northern service from Bishop Auckland to Saltburn.
The crossing gate and line to the left are part of Locomotion, the NRM at Shildon. Originally, this line gave access to the large wagon works which was located at Shildon but now the line is used for brake van rides and shunting exhibitions in connection with the railway museum.
