On the 9th May 2019, Gresley A3 Pacific No. 60103, "Flying Scotsman" is seen leaving Darlington at the head of; the second leg on day 1 of the 9 day Highlands & islands Explorer rail charter, from York to Edinburgh, promoted by Steam Dreams. Tucked inside but hidden by smoke and steam, is Thompson B1 No. 61306 "Mayflower", while a WCRC Class 37 No. 37685 is at the rear of the train.
