On the penultimate day of DRS operations on the Cumbrian Coast line on behalf of Northern, 27th December 2018, DRS Class 37 No. 37425 Sir Robert McAlpine/ Concrete Bob is seen departing from Barrow with the 14.52 service to Carlisle. Classmate No. 37424 Avro Vulcan XH558 sits in the carriage sidings waiting to form the following 15.31 service to Carlisle, a service subsequently cancelled due to train crew issues. Later No. 37558 and stock ran empty to Carlisle via Carnforth and the WCML.
