Colas Rail Class 56s Nos. 56096 & 56078 pass Dove Holes as they work the 08:50 Crewe Basford Hall S.S.M. to Buxton snowplough train on 19th March 2018. Following another weekend cold snap, the so-called "Beast from the East 2.0", the route between Hazel Grove was closed by snowdrifts. Despite the 56s making it through to Buxton, Network Rail were not able to open the line immediately due to many large icicles which had formed in Eaves Tunnel, between Chapel-en-le-Frith and Dove Holes. At least a couple were dislodged by the locos as there is one visible behind the leading plough and another resting on the radiator grill of 56096!
