A tale of two substitutions sees the Network Rail Measurement Train - normally an HST trainset - replaced by top n tail Class 67s as they pass Euxton on 6th December 2017, while working the Craigentinny CS - Crewe leg of the regular circuit. Led by Colas Rail Class 67 No. 67023 Stella, the second substitute was that of DBC Class 67 No. 67002 standing in for Colas classmate No. 67027 which was undergoing maintenance at Toton.
