As delivery of the Skoda trainsets are severely delayed, DB Regio has to lease Railpool 'Vectron' locomotives and use existing stock to form the Nuremberg - Sonneberg Regionalexpress trains which use part of the new high speed line. This photo shows the first day of operation on 10th December 2017, and the end of the high speed line near Ebensfeld. The bridge in the background spans the river Main.
