Running as an ECS working, this is in fact a DRS rescue mission. DRS Class 37 No. 37402 "Stephen Middlemore 23.12.1954 - 8.6.2013", had previously failed at Ravenglass, while working from Carlisle to Barrow-in-Furness. The two DRS Class 68s, Nos. 68026 and 68001 "Evolution", were at Sellafield, having worked the Hunterston to Sellafield flask train the previous day and were called upon to haul the Class 37 and carriages, which included DBSO No. 9709 at the rear, from Ravenglass back to Carlisle Kingmoor. The whole train made an interesting spectacle, as it passed Dearham Bridge, near Maryport at 13.30 on 29th July 2017.
