The Ribble Steam Railway held its Diesel Gala over the weekend of 25 - 26th March 2017 when Class 60 No. 60047 was kindly provided by Colas Railfreight as the guest locomotive to work the shuttle service in top and tail mode with resident shunting locomotives. On 25th March, one service was operated in top and tail mode with resident Class 05 No. D2595 and the consist is seen returning to Riversway with No. 60047 leading as it crosses the Marina Bridge.
