Visiting Class 26 No. 26038 (formerly No. D5388 which spent over 26 years as an Inverness-based loco) 'Tom Clift 1954 - 2012' stands at Grosmont MPD on on 1st October 2016, the second day of the NYMR Autumn 2016 Welsh Steam Gala. The locomotive was withdrawn in October 1992, following a traction motor defect, but was bought by career railwayman Tom Clift and was named on 27th April 2013 at the KWVR's Diesel Gala.
