On an extremely wet 2nd April 2016, the ECML was closed between Doncaster & York due to engineering works, necessitating relevant services to be re-routed via Knottingley & Church Fenton, creating some unusual sightings. Here, Grand Central Trains Class 43/4 HST No. 43465 comes off the Ferrybridge line prior to passing through Church Fenton Station, heading the 13:20 London King's Cross to Sunderland service. Its Classmate No. 43467 worked the rear of the train.
