Leading the formation is a Class 116.8 First Class Open Driving Trailer, known as an Apmbzf by DB, whose full UIC identity is No. 70 80 80-95 714-3. This number is visible mid way along the grey side skirt of the vehicle. The red-liveried propelling locomotive just visible on the rear of the formation is Class 101 No. 101 130-3.
