Prior to undertaking its loaded test run on 22nd December 2015, Royal Scot Class 4-6-0 No. 46100 Royal Scot ran from Crewe to Carnforth on the previous day as part of its test programme. The light engine move was caught at Preston on 21st December when it passed with its single support coach.
