On the 24th January 2016, a Virgin Trains East Coast Class 43 No. 43277 is seen approaching Eaglescliffe station at the head of the London King's Cross to Aberdeen service diverted around the Durham Coast due to engineering works between Durham and Newcastle. Classmate 43290 "MTU Fascination of Power" was at the rear.
