The Waverley route was officially re-opened as the Borders Railway on 9th October 2015 when HM The Queen joined the first steam-hauled service from Edinburgh to the current terminus at Tweedbank. The Royal Special is seen approaching the start of the 2-track section at Galabank Junction en route to Tweedbank.
