On 18th/19th July 2015, the Middleton Railway celebrated the anniversary of the completion of the first locomotive from the Hunslet Engine Company on 18th July 1865. Here, Hunslet 0-6-0ST No. 19 stands in the headshunt at Middleton Park Halt, while 1945 built No. 7 'Beatrice', named after the owner's daughter of Ackton Hall Colliery, its first workplace, departs from Middleton Park Halt platform, banking 0-6-0ST No. 66 (originally 3890) forming the 12:52 service to Moor Road on 19th July.
