On 18th/19th July 2015, the Middleton Railway celebrated the anniversary of the completion of the first locomotive from the Hunslet Engine Company on 18th July 1865. Here, the safety vales lift on Hunslet 0-6-0ST No. 66, the last standard steam locomotive built in this country for commercial use in the UK, as it awaits its next duty at Park Halt on 19th July. The locomotive was completed on 19th February 1964 and worked at Cadeby Main Colliery, Conisborough, until purchased for preservation in November 1975.
