Northern Rail Class 153 No. 153363 departs Ulceby and passes the Ulceby Junction Signal Box, working the 09:54 Barton-on-Humber to Cleethorpes service on the damp and murky morning of 16th June 2014. The layout is somewhat unusual in that all passenger trains use a single platform, even though the station is located on a double track line. This originally had two platforms but this was altered to a single wooden platform when the line was resignalled in the 1980s. The Signal Box is a GCR type 5 opened in 1910 and is fitted with a 30 lever frame that controls the at Ulceby and the junction to access the Barton-on-Humber branch. It also contains a small IFS panel to cover Harborough Junction
