Pictured circa 1980, Fairlie 0-4-4-0T 'Merddin Emrys' climbs towards Tan y Bwlch on the Ffestiniog Railway. This locomotive was originally built at Boston Lodge in 1879 and received a major overhaul in 1987 (after this photograph was taken), returning to steam in 2005. There is a fine collection of vintage rolling stock behind the locomotive. 1980
