On 15th October 2016, West Coast Railways Class 57/3 No. 57313 leads the empty stock of a steam special (which originated at Doncaster) back into Salisbury Station, after having turned around using the triangle outside the station. Out of sight, and now at the rear of the formation, is Stanier LMS Pacific 'Princess' Class 8P No. 6201. On the adjacent track, South West Trains Class 158/0 No. 15888 departs for Romsey.
