'Western' Class diesel-hydraulic No. D1056 'Western Sultan' stands at Bristol Temple Meads on 2nd June 1971. New from Crewe Works in March 1963, the loco was withdrawn from Laira in December 1976 and cut up at Swindon Works during May 1979.
