A depressing sight in the yard at Salisbury MPD on 1st October 1967, where Standard Class 4MT 2-6-4T No. 80146 heads a line-up of condemned locomotives. Following the end of SR steam in July of that year, the shed yards at Weymouth and Salisbury were utilised to store withdrawn locomotives prior to dispersal to scrapyards.
