In the week that it was withdrawn from service, Raven Class Q6 0-8-0 No. 63455 stands in the old roundhouse at Tyne Dock MPD on 20th June 1967. New as NER No. 2298 from Armstrong Whitworth in December 1920, it later became LNER No. 3455 in September 1946. It was towed south for scrapping and the end came at the Steelbreaking & Dismantling Company, Chesterfield, in October 1967.
