On 14th May 2014, Cross-Country Class 220 No. 220028, having recently arrived at Southampton from Leeds, moves into the sidings to the west of the station for a 25-minute break before returning to form the 11:46 departure to Newcastle. During this break, twelve other trains (including freight) will pass through the four platforms at this busy station.
