0-6-0 diesel shunter No. D2554 is stabled at Ryde St Johns Road on 24th April 1969. New as No. 11140 from the Hunslet Engineering Company Ltd in May 1956 and first allocated to Parkeston Quay (30F), it was re-numbered in June 1966. The loco became Class 05 No. 05001 under TOPS and survived in service until withdrawal in January 1981. It is now preserved at the Isle of Wight Steam Railway at Havenstreet.
