Stanier Class 5MT 4-6-0's No. 45073 and No. 45156 'Ayrshire Yeomanry' double-head the Skipton - Rose Grove leg of 1L43, MRTS/SVRS 'Farewell to BR Steam' railtour at Blackburn on 28th July 1968. The tour originated at Birmingham New Street and also featured 70013, 75019, 75027, 48773, as well as Brush Type 4 D1946 and an electric loco as traction during the day. Both were withdrawn during the following month, 45073 being cut up by Drapers of Hull during March 1969 and 45156 by TW Ward of Beighton during December 1968.
