Class 47/4 No. 47615 'Castell Caerffili/Caerphilly Castle' accelerates away from Gloucester on 14th July 1985 with a Plymouth - Newcastle service. New as No. D1929 from Brush at Loughborough in February 1966 and first allocated to Bristol Bath Road (82A), it became Class 47/0 No. 47252 under TOPS in 1974 before conversion to No. 47615 in June 1984. It was further converted to Class 47/7 No. 47747 in March 1994 and then carried the names 'Res Publica' (1994-2000), 'Graham Farish' (2000-2002) and 'Florence Nightingale' thereafter. The loco was withdrawn in April 2013 and cut up by CF Booth of Rotherham during June of that year. Note the GWR150 commemorative plate below the main nameplate.
