The WCML was closed for major engineering work in mid July between Warrington and Balshaw Lane leading to the diversion of freight services. The daily Daventry - Mossend TescoLiner was diverted via Manchester resulting in the sight of DRS Class 66/4 No. 66424 and 66429 passing Buckshaw on 16th July 2013 as the train approached Euxton Junction and a return to the WCML.
