The Fellsman which operates on Wednesdays between Lancaster and Carlisle during a brief summer season uses locomotives from the WCRC pool of locomotives based at Carnforth. On 10th July 2013 it was Class 8F 2-8-0 48151 which was the traction as the train sped out of Lancaster past Oubeck Loop on the outward journey via Preston, Ribble Valley and the S&C route to Carlisle.
