As a result of the Hatfield and Stainforth landslip the line between Lincoln and Nottingham has seen numerous diversions. This particular working is unusual in itself and it's routing via my place of work was a very pleasing development ! Viewed from Staythorpe signal box on a very gloomy Wednesday 27th March 2013 is ex-Thunderbird "Fab 1" Class 57, No.57316 now nameless and in unbranded Arriva Trains Wales blue hauling a ZOA 125 tonne Diesel Hydraulic Kirow crane complete with two KFA bogie support wagons. The train is 6Z47 15.30 Scunthorpe - Bescot engineers working. Observed in dreadful light at 18.09hrs, the working is running 46 minutes late and the headlights shine brightly in the gloom. The loco I believe is currently operated by the WCRC but who the operator of the working was ?
