North British 'Warship' Class 42 diesel hydraulic No. 841 'Roebuck' stabled at Exeter MPD on 17th July 1971. New from Glasgow in December 1960, it had a working life of just under 11 years. It was initially allocated to Laira (83D), followed by a 5 year spell at Newton Abbot. Next came 3 years at Old Oak Common, 8 months of which was spent in store. Final allocation was Newton Abbot, from where it was withdrawn in October 1971.
